Each is thoughtfully designed to support different aspects of veterinary education, taking full advantage of the region's natural beauty and outdoor accessibility. This multi-site approach, situated in one of the Southwest's most desirable locations, ensures that students can thrive both academically and personally, progressing seamlessly from foundational classroom learning to advanced clinical practice in a setting that supports wellness, adventure, and professional growth.
Oro Valley Campus
Nestled at the base of the scenic Santa Catalina Mountains, our Oro Valley campus offers veterinary students an inspiring learning environment, just 20 minutes from the main University of Arizona campus. Students complete their first two years of preclinical coursework in the Hanley Building, which features state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories designed to support didactic education and hands-on laboratory instruction. The adjacent Stallard Building complements the academic experience by offering dedicated spaces for student recreation, collaborative study, and wellness activities, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed both academically and personally in this beautiful desert setting.
Campus Agricultural Center
The Campus Agricultural Center serves as a comprehensive hands-on learning hub, housing both the Equine Learning Center and the Bovine Education Extension Facility, where Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students develop essential clinical skills with canine, equine, and food animals. Through interaction with our carefully maintained teaching herds, students master the fundamental techniques of animal handling, safe restraint procedures, and basic veterinary care in real-world settings. The facility also serves as the primary home for our Mobile Surgical Unit, further expanding students' exposure to diverse clinical experiences and community outreach opportunities.
