A New Program with New Perspectives

Since ushering in our first graduating class in 2023, the Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine has continued its strategy of applying a groundbreaking, modern approach to veterinary education. 

This includes recruiting students from various backgrounds who bring a range of life experiences, individual learning styles and well-rounded abilities to the program.

Prerequisites

  • 3.0 GPA minimum for cumulative, prerequisite and science courses.
  • No more than two prerequisites should be in progress when you submit your application.
  • Prerequisites focus on Biological and Physical Sciences, Math, Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Courses must be taken at accredited institutions. Online and community college courses are acceptable.

We employ a holistic admissions process. We consider the complete academic and personal history of an applicant, assessing candidates as multidimensional individuals with distinct abilities and experiences and regarding their overall fit with the mission and values of the college.
