Kaylee Hass is set to embark on an exciting journey in veterinary medicine with the BluePearl EmERge ER mentorship program in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she will begin her career in emergency veterinary medicine.

From Rural Beginnings to Veterinary Medicine

Kaylee’s passion for animal care and veterinary medicine was cultivated early in her life. Growing up in a rural area of Oklahoma, her family’s cattle-raising and involvement in FFA significantly shaped her love for animals. "[My early experiences encouraged me to] pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics," she explains. However, it wasn't until starting veterinary school that Kaylee discovered the vast array of career paths within veterinary medicine, ultimately leading her to choose a career in emergency medicine.

As Kaylee looks forward to a career in emergency medicine, she is particularly enthusiastic about the amount of exposure she will receive as she progresses in her career. "I am excited for the variety of cases and patients I will encounter in my career!" she shares. Her clinical year experiences, which opened the door to various specialties, practices, and doctors, have broadened her education and perspective, preparing her for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
