About Me

I am a born and bred desert rat! I absolutely love the desert. I have worked my whole life in education - from teaching outdoor environmental education to K-12 science, and then on to teaching courses in environmental education and science education here at the UA. While doing all this teaching, I also gained my degrees from the University of Arizona's College of Education, culminating in my PhD in Teaching and Teacher Education. Over the past few years, I have been living the life of an Air Force spouse, working and living all over the country and the world, but I am so glad to be coming back to Tucson with my husband, 2 kiddos, and 2 doggies to work with the College of Veterinary Medicine.

What do you like to do for fun?

Read, hang out with my family, hike and play with my doggies.

What excites you about this position?

The CVM is just an exciting and fun place in general. It is not every day that you get to work with such inspiring people, nor to be in a position where you get to learn and teach every single day - things I am so very passionate about - but that is exactly what the CVM is for me. On top of that, I love that we are all working towards such an amazing goal and that at the end of the day I leave happy and motivated to keep working and learning.
