About Me

I grew up in Kansas and went to Kansas State University for undergrad and vet school. I have been in private practice for close to 25 years. I have worked in small rural settings, large corporate practice and somewhere in between. I have started two successful small animal practices in the Phoenix area and even had a stint as Program Director for a Veterinary Technician College.

My wife Nancy and I have two grown kids with one in Arizona and one in Kansas at my alma mater.

What do you like to do for fun?

We love to camp and enjoy the outdoors. We live in the perfect state to get out and be active. We kayak, hike, fish and just “be” in the outdoors.

What excites you about this position?

I have mentored many young doctors through the years and I look forward to helping shape the future of our new graduates in their career. I have experienced and learned so much along the way, and I want to pass that on to the next generation of veterinarians. Being a part of the startup of this program is like a dream come true. My passion lies in teaching and connecting with the learner and inspiring them to do more than they thought they were capable of. I am proud to call the University of Arizona Veterinary Medical School my home. Go CATS!!
